Xenical is an FDA-approved pain reliever and fat-blocking medicine. It blocks the absorption of fat in the body, thereby reducing the amount of calories you absorb from food. It is used to treat obesity and its associated conditions, including overweight and obesity-related medical conditions.
Dietary fats are large molecules that need to be broken down before they can be absorbed into the body. They are broken down by enzymes called lipases.
